I don't have any info but they seemed to have died a couple weeks ago.

So it isn't just you.

Outgoing feed stopped at June 8th at about 11:20, incoming feed about
an hour later, reason unknown. Mail to contact addresses @neva.ru and
@rusnet.ru was delayed for more than two days, but finally delivered.
No reply yet

Has anyone heard anything further about this system?

I'm starting to wonder if I should pull it from my list of peers?

No news on them but I pulled my feed a couple weeks ago.

Was kind of suprising, they were always in the top 10 usenet sites,
sometimes in the #3 position.

Only thought that ran through my head is if it was a private/pay usenet
system (like giganews or highwinds), maybe they got a crack down from the
government, hard.

I've seen some news articles about the russian govenment hitting hard on
torrent and iptv services originating from Russia. I'd guess if neva carried
the alt.binaries.*, maybe they got included.

They always seemed responsive in the past. Just odd they pulled the plug
without an email saying goodbye.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I agree it's a surprise to me to see them just
disappear given the scale they were running at. I too wondered if a
crackdown of some sort had befallen them?
