I was trying out a beta emal client that blew away all of my mail for
days.

THANK YOU! to everyone who stepped up and agreed to peer with us!

I can't contact you (SENT FOLDER cratered too! doh!) so please reach
out to me if you're from:

nk.ca
newslysator.liu.se
samoylyk.net
szaf.org

And there's one more that I couldn't even get to before his mail went
POOF

I'm on the last step with the conf files and struggling with
newsfeeds.confs.

Anybody want a paid gig to get me across the finish line and get this
server running for me? I'm totally serious!

Thank you all for being so welcoming and supportive.

Hey Howard, what kind of issue are you having with newsfeeds? Typically
I don't mess with that file except to add the newsfeeds for new peers.
Most new to INN assume this file also controls what newsgroups their
server accepts, but that is primarily the function of the active file.

There are lots of people running INN here, and also in
news.software.nntp, if you provide some details about where you are
stuck perhaps we can help out.

I just revived my USENET server after being offline a few years. I'd be
happy to peer with you. You can find my details at
https://usenet.blueworldhosting.com.

Jesse

Hi Howard,

I'm on the last step with the conf files and struggling with
newsfeeds.confs.
Could you try to read the beginning ("In a nutshell" section) of:
https://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/software/inn/docs/newsfeeds.html

And watch that video :-)

I would be happy to know how the newsfeeds documentation above (or any
other documentation) could be improved: what is not clear enough? how
would you have expected it to be explained?

Another useful CHECKLIST to look at:
