news.bbs.nz pending outage

Hi there

news.bbs.nz will soon be changing ISP and with it new static IP addresses
will be assigned. I don't have those details at this stage but the cut
over will occur in the coming 48 hours or so and impact both IPv4 and IPv6
addresses.

It's likely I'll get the IPv4 stuff sorted quicker than IPv6 which may be
a few days for me to sort. So just a heads up and a prior apology if peers
end up spooling news for the server in the coming days ahead.

I'll post an update here when the change over has occurred and I have
confirmed details for peers.

Many thanks, yes I've just added the IPv6 records so hopefully a few peers
will see that update in their DNS caches soon.

Everything seems to work and news.nntp4.net has taken over the ip
2001:470:d:3a4::100.

Apologies but the IPv6 address for news.bbs.nz is again going to change
and over the coming few days IPv6 will be unavailable but the IPv4 address
remains unchanged. I'll post an update when I believe IPv6 is again
running.

The AAAA record for news.bbs.nz has been updated and now points to
2407:8b00:1169:900::300

Can you please adjust your systems accordingly.

At this stage there IPv6 is not set up so I have removed AAAA records for
this domain for now. When I get IPv6 running I'll post a further update.

It may take a few hours for DNS to promulgate around the globe.

Changes have been picked up here.

You could get a Hurricane Electric ipv6 tunnel while you're waiting. I
had to do this with one of my nameservers because I got tired of
waiting.

IPv6 has been added and DNS records updated for news.bbs.nz

The address for the server is currently 2001:470:d:3a4::100

This may change in the coming weeks but if it does I will advise.
